What the project is about?

SoundHead Radio – Codicon 2024

SoundHead Radio was a 48-hour project developed for Codicon 2024. It is a web application that allows users to listen to an online radio station.

Development & Technologies

The team consisted of four developers, and we used the Deezer API to fetch radio stations and songs. The user interface was built with Astro and React, incorporating the following features:

✅ Landing page to introduce the project.
✅ Real-time playlist visualization, retrieved from Deezer.
✅ Customizable volume control, with an automatic start volume reduced to 50% to protect users' hearing.
✅ Lazy loading with skeleton loader to enhance user experience and optimize performance.

Results & Key Takeaways

Although SoundHead Radio wasn’t among the winning projects, the experience was invaluable. This challenge allowed us to:

As my first hackathon, it was an incredible opportunity to learn, enhance my skills, and tackle challenges in a competitive environment. 🚀
